Registration is now open for Defender Days, Dordt University’s biggest event of the year. Held on October 17-18, Defender Days is a weekend packed with activities, food, and fellowship for alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends.

There are several ticketed events, including the Defender Nation Dinner and President’s Breakfast; eventgoers are encouraged to register early as these events tend to sell out quickly.
This year’s schedule includes some new offerings, like tours of new on-campus buildings and a dedication event for The Atrium. “Defender Days is a weekend dedicated to fostering community—the very purpose behind each of these building projects throughout the year,” says Becky Ringsby, alumni and signature events coordinator. “What a great opportunity to come together and celebrate that spirit with our Dordt family.”
Defender Days 2025 also includes many fan favorites, such as home athletic competitions for hockey, swimming, football, soccer, and women’s volleyball.
“While each attendee may have their favorite event—whether it’s an athletic game, a music concert, a theatre production, or a special meal—the word I hear repeatedly is ‘community.’ It’s that shared connection that, I believe, keeps people coming back year after year, from reconnecting with old friends to spending time with current students.”
