Dordt University partners with Toccoa Falls College for a streamlined MSW pathway

A new partnership between Dordt University and Toccoa Falls College will offer students a streamlined pathway to an MSW degree.

Dordt University’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program has recently partnered with Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa Falls, Georgia to offer students a streamlined pathway to an MSW degree.

Through this partnership, students in Toccoa Falls’ counseling psychology program will be able waive up to 21 credits, allowing them to save both time and money as they pursue a graduate education. “This partnership not only allows our students to build on what they’ve learned at the undergraduate level but also recognizes a significant amount of their foundational coursework with waived credits in Dordt’s MSW program, enabling our students to begin their professional career earlier than they had planned,” says Dr. Brenna Vickers, chair of the counseling psychology program at Toccoa Falls.

Dordt University remains committed to equipping students for Christ-centered renewal in all areas of life. With a growing demand for skilled Christian social workers, this partnership will help both fulfill that need and make a kingdom impact. “The field of social work is a meaningful and tangible expression of Dordt’s commitment to Christ-centered renewal,” says Joe Bakker, dean for online, graduate, and partner programs at Dordt. “This partnership enables us reach more students called to serve as social workers.”

“We are excited to partner with Dordt University and present our students with an opportunity to pursue an academically rigorous graduate education in a Christ-centered learning community,” adds Vickers.

Dordt’s MSW program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and approved by the Higher Learning Commission.
