A senior art exhibit by Dordt University secondary art education major, Abby Grace Caldwell, will be on display in the Campus Center Art Gallery now through December 17. Originally from Cherokee, Iowa, Caldwell’s exhibit, “Already Not Yet,” focuses on paintings that explore the tension between the present brokenness of the world and the future wholeness promised in Christ.
“All we know are shadows. All we see are impressions of the life to come. A life where Christ is king, where sin is vanquished, and where those who surrender their lives to the Father in this life will rest in beautiful, sanctified peace for all of eternity,” says Caldwell.
To learn more about Caldwell and her work, the community is invited to an artist reception on Tuesday, December 9 at 7 p.m.
