Within six months of graduating from Dordt University, 99.7% of 2025 graduates were either employed or pursuing further education.
This strong outcome rate continues a long-standing trend for Dordt graduates. “Dordt graduates have posted a career outcome rate above 99% for years,” says Eric Tudor, executive director of strategy and innovation at Dordt. “That kind of sustained result shows that our programs stay closely connected to the job market and that our students graduate ready to contribute from day one.”
Amy Westra, director of career development at Dordt, says the career outcome rate, in part, is credited to Dordt’s strong culture of engagement across campus. “Faculty connect with students both inside and outside the classroom, welcoming them not only into their offices but also into their homes and churches,” she says. “They intentionally create opportunities for students to apply classroom learning in real-world contexts through experiences like career treks, internships, practicums, and other forms of experiential learning.”

Additionally, Westra says staff play an important role in engaging students through on-campus employment, residence life, campus ministries, and cocurricular activities. “Through this collective investment, students develop a vision for using not only their careers, but their whole lives, to serve and advance God’s kingdom,” she adds.
Ultimately, a strong career outcome rate is a tangible reflection of Dordt’s broader mission to prepare students for their work toward Christ-centered renewal. “This career outcomes rate is not simply reflective of our success in training students for particular careers,” says Dr. Ethan Brue, dean for technology and applied sciences at Dordt. “I believe it is also, in part, indicative of the type of graduates we are encouraging our students to become—that is, graduates who don’t just learn for the sake of learning, but graduates who continue to learn for the sake of serving. Dordt is not just about training students for competence, but it is more about inviting students to embrace the goodness of work out of a deep care for the world.”
