Dordt men's cross country team declared 2022 NAIA national champions

On Friday, November 18, Dordt University men's cross country claimed the 67th Annual NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee. They bring home their first cross country national title and are the first team from the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) to win nationals.

According to the NAIA, the Defenders posted a team score of 97 points to beat out national runner-up Milligan (Tenn.) who finished with 115 points.

Following the race, Dordt head coach Nate Wolf was named the 2022 NAIA Men’s Cross Country Coach of the Year. The top 40 individual finishers were named 2022 NAIA Men’s Cross Country All-Americans.

The women's cross cross country team placed in the top 10 as well.
