Dordt has earned a spot in the GPAC post season tournament and will play in Fremont, Nebraska beginning on Wednesday, May 4.  The double elimination, four-team tournament will conclude on Thursday, May 5.

The Defenders are 20-19-1 this season and finished the league year with a 10-12 mark. The Defenders lost nine of their last ten games by a combined 11 runs.

Dordt is batting .239 as a team and have outscored teams 140-131.  The Dordt pitching staff has a 2.51 earned run average and have a 3:1 strikeout to walk ratio.

Karli Olsen is batting .319 with 38 hits, six doubles and five homeruns with 20 runs batted in. Chandler Schemper is batting .314 with 22 runs batted in to lead the team and she has 37 hits. Jessica Oules is batting .298 with 31 hits and Kenzie Cunard is batting .261 with eight doubles and Emma Groen has four homeruns.

Abby Kraemer is 15-9 on the mound with a 1.30 earned run average and has 197 strikeouts in 156 innings of work and batters are hitting .183 against her. Hailey Wilken is 2-5 with a 3.76 earned run average and Taylor Knaack is 3-3 with a 4.26 earned run average.


Midland is 32-7 this season with a 19-3 conference record.  Midland won the GPAC regular season title and is the number one seed in the tournament. Midland has won five games in a row since a 5-4 loss to Mount Marty.  Midland’s other two GPAC losses are to Dordt and Hastings.

The Warriors are batting .318 and has outscored opponents 256-103 so far this year. Midland has a 2.30 earned run average as a staff and teams are batting .227 against the Midland hurlers.

Kaitlyn Rickey batted .450 in 24 games and has 18 hits with two homeruns. Emily Prai is batting .430 with eight doubles and five triples with 58 hits. Roni Foote has 48 hits and 55 runs batted in with 10 homeruns and has five doubles and five triples.

Aliyah Rincon is 18-3 this season with a 1.70 earned run average in 128 innings pitched and she has 153 strikeouts. Hailee Fliam is 12-4 on the mound with a 2.63 earned run average and has 75 strikeouts in 93 innings.


The Mustangs are the fourth seed in the field and stand 29-13 overall and 15-7 in the GPAC. The Mustangs closed the season on a 13-1 run after standing 2-6 in the GAPC after getting swept by Mount Marty on April 10.

Morningside is batting .301 as a team and have a 261-126 runs scored edge and the pitchers have a combined 2.31 earned run average.

Morgan Nixon is batting .377 with 52 hits and nine homeruns to go with 38 runs batted in. Sydney Petersen is batting .360 with 14 doubles with four homeruns. Lexie Stolen is batting .356 with eight homeruns and she has 42 hits.

Grace Buffington is 15-5 with a 2.01 earned run average in 125 innings and she has 53 strikeouts. Katherine Wurtz is 14-8 with a 2.60 earned run average and has 126 innings pitched with 75 strikeouts.


The Jimmies are 5-2-1 in their last eight games since getting swept by Dordt on April 20. Jamestown is 23-22-1 this season and 10-11-1 in the GPAC.

Jamestown is batting .298 and has outscored teams 225-214.  The Jimmies have a 3.69 earned run average and teams are batting .289 against the Jimmies.

Santina Zito is batting .403 with 48 hits and three homeruns with 29 runs batted in. Katie Reisdorfer is batting .341 with 11 doubles and four homeruns with 19 runs batted in. Katie Merchant is batting .333 and Megan Neiles is at .316 with 22 runs batted in.

Kat Miska is 12-8 with a 2.48 earned run average and has struck out 148 batters in 129 innings. Katie Merchant is 7-10 this season with a 4.62 eared run average and has 59 strikeouts in 91 innings.


The winner of this four-team field will play the winner of the four-team field played in Orange City on Saturday, May 7 at the highest remaining seed in a best of three match up. Northwestern, Mount Marty, the College of Saint Mary and Concordia make up the other half of the field.
