Women's Basketball Adds Davis

(Friday, April 29, 2022; Sioux Center, Iowa) Kaylee Davis, a senior at Central Lyon High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender basketball program.

Davis averaged 9.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals per contest for the Lions and she earned third team all-conference honors in 2022 one year after earning honorable mention accolades.  Davis was a part a state runner-up teams this season.

“I chose Dordt because of the emphasis on my relationship with Christ. I felt welcomed on campus and I really liked the coaches, staff and professors I met,” said Davis.

Kaylee is the daughter of Paul and Keri Davis of Rock Rapids, Iowa. She plans to study engineering at Dordt.

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA). 

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
