Mauldin Claims National Honor

Payton Mauldin was named the NAIA Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for his performance last weekend at the Dordt Invitational.
Mauldin claimed a pair of first place finishes, winning both the 800m and 4x400, in his outdoor season debut. Mauldin's time of 1:51.2 currently sits No.1 in the GPAC and No.3 in the NAIA. The sophomore then ran the anchor leg of the winning 4x400 relay in 47.8; the Defenders have the fastest time in the GPAC and ninth in the NAIA.
