Schwartz Added To Dordt Soccer

(Thursday, January 13, 2022; Sioux Center, Iowa) Sydney Schwartz, a senior at Spencer High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.
Schwartz has scored seven goals and has seven assists in two seasons of varsity play. She’s played midfield and defense during her career and was a part of two state tournament trips and Lakes Conference titles in 2019 and 2021.
“I chose Dordt because of the academics, soccer program and Coach Alex,” said Schwartz.
Sydney is the daughter of Doug and Courtney Schwartz of Spencer, Iowa. She plans to study statistics at Dordt.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
