Women's Golf Competes At GPAC Championship

The 12 Great Plains Athletic Conference teams will compete in rounds one and two of the GPAC Championship on Monday and Tuesday, October 4 and 5 at The Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion, South Dakota. Days three and four will be played in April.
Gianna Van Klaveren has golfed in four rounds and has a 91 average with a low of 85.
Emily Knoche has golfed in six rounds and has a 92.3 average with a low of 82.
Kerri Kroeze has played in six rounds and has a low of 85 with an average of 88.
Rachel Bostwick has played in six rounds and shares team honors with Kroeze with an 88 average and a low of 86.
Bailey Weg has golfed in six rounds and has a 94.6 average and has a low of 92 this season.
Dordt finished tenth at the 2021 GPAC Championships with a four-round score of 1538. Dordt shot a first round total of 409 and then rebounded with a 378-381-370. Rachel Bostwick sot a 372 and finished in a tie for 28th to lead the Defenders and Tess Hemmila shot a 385 for a 34th place tie. Rylie Brown and Bailey Weg shot 393 and 396 respectively to complete the Dordt scoring.
Morningside’s Sam Knight won the individual title with a 76-79-73-77=305 and she helped the Mustangs to a team title by 131 strokes.
Dordt competed at the Lila Frommelt Invite on September 17 and 18 and finished seventh with a 348-350=698. Emily Knoche finished in a tie for 17th place and Rachel Bostwick was 34th and Van Klaveren and Kroeze were right behind in 35th place.
Dordt will conclude the season on October 11 and 12 at the Northwest Iowa Collegiate Showcase at the Spencer Country Club in Spencer, Iowa.
