Men's Golf Competes In GPAC Rounds

Dordt will golf in rounds one and two of the GPAC Championship on Monday and Tuesday, September 27 and 28 at Indian Creek Golf Course at Elkhorn, Nebraska. The third and fourth rounds will be played in the spring.
Dordt’s lineup will consist of Freddy Bullock, Blake Harmsen, Dustin Widman, Colin Kloostra and Dutch Farr.
Bullock has golfed in nine rounds this season and has a 73.9 average and has three top-12 finishes and has a low of 70.
Harmsen has golfed in nine rounds with a 76.1 average and has a low of 72 with two top-20 finishes.
Widman has also competed in nine rounds and has a 76.3 average with a low of 72 and has three top-25 finishes.
Kloostra has played seven rounds and has a 76.6 average with a low of 70 and he has a top-20 finish.
Farr has played in five rounds and has a 74.2 average in his freshman campaign so far. He has a los of 70 this season and has been in top-30 in both events he’s competed in.
Morningside won the 2021 GPAC Title with an 1170 (295-291-286-298) to outdistance itself from Doane in the runner-up spot. The race from second through sixth was tight and separated by just 22 strokes. Dordt shot a four-day total of 1279 (315-310-322-332) and finished eighth in the field. Ryan Feauto finished 18th with a 77-80-80-77=314 and Blake Harmsen and Colin Kloostra were 27th and 29th respectively with a 322 and 323. Kolin Kroeze completed Dordt’s scoring with a 333 for 35th.
The Defender golf team will be in its first competition since a 14th place finish at the Northwest Iowa Invitational where the team shot a 299 in the third round of competition. Freddy Bullock and Dustin Widman each shot 232 and Blake Harmsen and Colin Kloostra had 234 and 235 respectively.
Dordt will compete at the Northwest Iowa Collegiate Showcase at the Spencer Country Club in Spencer, Iowa on October 11 and 12 to conclude the fall season.
