Schouten Makes Commitment To Dordt Soccer

(Friday, July 23; Sioux Center, Iowa) Jolie Schouten, a graduate of Central Wisconsin Christian, has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.

Schouten has played midfield and forward during her career and has scored 35 career goals.  In 2021 she led her team with nine goals and seven assists in an abbreviated season.  She’s a three-year starter and was twice voter her team’s most valuable forward.

“I chose Dordt because I wanted a college experience that would help me continue to grow in my faith walk and would provide me with community support that I have grown to love,” said Schouten.

Jolie is the daughter of Brad and Rhonda Schouten of Waupun, Wisconsin. She plans to study Exercise Science at Dordt.

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
