Women's Volleyball In NAIA National Championship Field

(Monday, April 12; Sioux Center, Iowa) The NAIA has announced its field and pairings for the 2020 NAIA Women’s Volleyball Championship and the Dordt Defenders are in the field for the 15th time in program history.

The Defenders posted a 14-6 record this season and finished 11-5 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Dordt will host MidAmerica Nazarene in the opening round of the tournament on Saturday, April 17 at 5:00 pm. The Pioneers were 16-9 this year and finished the Heart of America Conference season with a 7-5 record.  Dordt is 2-1 since resuming play in 2021 while MidAmerica Nazarene is 4-2.

The 48-team field gets underway with 24 National Championship Opening Round matches at campus locations on April 17.

After opening rounds the 24 winning teams will advance to the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa to begin two days of pool play on April 27-28.  The top team in each of the eight pools will advance to elimination play on April 29 with the semifinals on April 30 and the championship match on May 1.

A limited number of tickets for the Saturday, April 17 match in Sioux Center will go on sale at noon on Tuesday, April 13.
