Stuart Added To Dordt Soccer

(Friday, April 9; Sioux Center, Iowa) Ellie Stuart, a senior at Millar North High School (Nebraska), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender women’s soccer program.

“We are very excited for Ellie to join our program this August. Ellie is a fantastic individual who will contribute greatly to our tightknit culture in the women’s soccer program. She is a hard worker, dedicated to her studies and a great athlete. We are excited to see what she can do on the pitch come August,” said Dordt women’s soccer coach Alex Durbin.

Stuart has played defensive back and midfielder during her career and was named the SOFC Player of the Year in 2018-19 and she was part of a team that was the state runner-up and Heartland League Champion in 2018.

“I chose Dordt because I was impressed by the academics and opportunities given to the students. Also, I really liked the positive atmosphere of both the students and the staff.  I feel like Dordt is where God wants me to be. I am so excited to play soccer and grow close with my team,” said Stuart.

Ellie is the daughter of Doug Stuart and Janette Stuart of Omaha, Nebraska.  Ellie plans to study Business and Marketing.
