Football Picks Up A Spot In Poll

(Tuesday, April 6; Sioux Center, Iowa) The NAIA Football Coaches Top-25 Poll has been released for the week of April 5 and the Dordt Defenders are no. 17 in the poll voted on by a panel of 18 coaches representing each of the conference.

Dordt totaled 156 points in the balloting and is one point in front of Benedictine (Kansas) and 15 points behind Georgetown (Kentucky). Dordt and Benedictine swapping spots in the poll was the only change in the top-19 of the poll.

Dordt is 8-2 this season and finished the year 7-2 in the GPAC.  The Defenders await a potential at-large spot in the 2020 NAIA Football Championship Series. The 16-team field will be announced late April 11 with the first round of the playoffs scheduled for Saturday, April 17.
