Women's GPAC Basketball Field Set

(Saturday, February 20; Sioux Center, Iowa) The Great Plains Athletic Conference Postseason Women's  Basketball Tournament field is set for play and the Dordt Defenders hold the no. 5 seed in the eight-team field which has quarterfinal round action scheduled for Wednesday, February 24.

The Defenders take a 15-10 overall record and 14-8 conference mark into a game with Briar Cliff on Wednesday night in Sioux City.  The Chargers are 16-9 overall and 14-8 in the league and hold the no. 4 seed in the field. Dordt and Briar Cliff split their two previous meetings with a Dordt win on February 24 75-42 and Briar Cliff won on November 24, 79-69 in Sioux Center.

The winner of the contest will play in the semifinals against the Jamestown-Morningside winner on Saturday, February 27 at the site of the highest seed.  The championship is scheduled for Tuesday, March 2 at the highest remaining seed.
