Tolkamp To Attend Dordt

(Tuesday, January 19; Sioux Center, Iowa) Branton Tolkamp, a senior at Covenant Christian High School (Indiana), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.
“Branton is intelligent and intentional. He exemplifies the qualities of the Defender Way. We are looking forward to seeing Branton’s growth through his time at Dordt,” said Dordt men’s soccer coach Ryan Gresse.
Tolkamp has played midfield and sweeper during his career and has scored 22 career goals and 31 assists for Covenant Christian and he has the single season school record with 14 assists.
“I chose to commit to Dordt because of its great Christian atmosphere, its excellent engineering program and the opportunity to play soccer,” said Tolkamp.
Branton is the son of Rudy and Stacey Tolkamp of Demotte, Indiana. He’s plans to study Engineering at Dordt.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
