(Thursday, May 7; Sioux Center, Iowa) Jacob Ipema, a senior at Illiana Christian High School (Indiana), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender volleyball program.
"Jacob brings a strong work ethic and team-first mentality into our program. As a setter, he understands the importance of connecting with the hitters. He will provide great depth for us in the setting role. We are grateful for high school coach Dave Bosman building Jacob's skills over the years. We are excited and blessed to have Jacob joining our program this fall," said Dordt volleyball coach Chad Hanson.
Ipema totaled 437 assists in three season and was part of a team that was ranked in the top-20 in the state.
"I chose Dordt because of the friendly people on campus as well as the Christ-centered education Dordt offers," said Ipema.
Jacob is the son of David and Tricia Ipema of Beecher, Illinois. He plans to study Agri-business at Dordt.
