Minderhoud Added To Defender Soccer

(Monday, February 3; Sioux Center, Iowa) Sydney Minderhoud, a senior at Airdrie Christian Academy (Ontario), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.
"Our coaching staff is looking forward to the addition of Sydney to our program. She will be a great fit for Dordt University, our women’s soccer program and living out the Defender Way," said Dordt soccer coach Alex Durbin.
Minderhoud played for the W.H. Croxford Cavaliers and competed in multiple sports during her high school careeer.
"I chose to commit to Dordt because I really value their Christ-Centered education and the opportunity to strengthen my relationship with Christ while furthering my education. Dordt has also given me the exciting opportunity to play soccer and I look forward to playing alongside the other girls," said Minderhoud.
Sydney is the daughter of Ken and Vonda Minderhoud of Airdrie, Alberta. She plans to study Nursing at Dordt.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian university rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
