Jansen Added To Defender Basketball

(Tuesday, June 11; Sioux Center, Iowa) Noah Jansen, a recent graduate of Salmon Arm Secondary (British Columbia), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender basketball program.
Jansen is listed 6-5 and averaged 12 points and ten rebounds with four assists and two steals. He was part of a 2017 team that qualified for the provincials and was the league champion in on 2019. He also played for the Salmon Arm Synergy club program.
"We are excited to have Noah be a part of our program. Noah adds physical size and presence on the inside, and provides versatility on the offensive end. We look forward to watching Noah develop as a basketball player, as a person, and as a student," said Dordt basketball coach Brian Van Haaften.
Noah is the son of Andrew and Cristie Jansen of Armstrong, British Columbia. He plans to study Agricultural Business at Dordt.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian university rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
