Dordt Hosts High School Choral Festival April 13

14 Choirs to Participate in Biennieal Event

Dordt College will host the High School Choral Festival on Friday, April 13. With 14 choirs participating, it will end with a mass choir performance of more than 600 singers, led by Dordt faculty member, Ryan Smit.

High school choirs come from Colorado, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, South Dakota, California, Wisconsin, and Iowa to participate in the festival. The ensembles will participate in clinic sessions before combining for a rehearsal in the afternoon. The four Dordt College choirs will perform, in addition to 11 other choirs.

The concert will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the B.J. Haan. It is free and open to the public.
