Cobb To Join Defender Baseball

(Friday, February 28; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Taylor Cobb, a senior at Bennington High School (Nebraska), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender baseball program.

Cobb had a .297 batting average as a junior  and knocked in 13 runs in 18 games played and had three doubles.  As a sophomore he batted .261 with a double and four runs batted in.  He was a part of A Bennington Seniors Tournament Champion team as junior and earned academic all-state and all-conference honors during his career while also earning four varsity letters at Bennington.

Taylor is the son of Darren and Tami Cobb of Bennington, Nebraska.  He plans to study actuarial science at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
