Pre-Chiropractic Program
Chiropractors work to improve patients’ health conditions by treating their neuromuscular systems. If that sounds exciting to you, then a pre-chiropractic path is worth your consideration. Dordt University prepares pre-chiropractic students to enter the field and work with sports teams, on a hospital staff, or as researchers, educators, speakers, or administrators.
Request InfoProgram Overview
A key emphasis of the pre-chiropractic program at Dordt University is to encourage students to consider how their work may serve both God and His creation. That happens by helping them understand how to heal the human body—through classroom education and practical, hands-on experience. And through it all you’re challenged to grow spiritually and develop your faith.
A student interested in chiropractic practice should consider majoring in biology or exercise science.
Dordt's innovative pre-chiropractic program can be the first step to Doctor of Chiropractic School and beyond. Many students complete their bachelor's degree before entering Doctor of Chiropractic School, meaning you get a well-rounded education that aligns with your Christian worldview before you head to Doctor of Chiropractic School.

At least three years of study at Dordt are required, which will provide the necessary background in the sciences, including biology, chemistry, and physics courses, as well as courses in the humanities and social sciences. Since required courses may vary between chiropractic graduate schools, students are advised to check requirements of specific schools early in their college career.
The Pre-Health Professions Club (PHPC), which is part of the Health Sciences Program, offers leadership, community service, mentorship, and other opportunities for pre-chiropractic students. Pre-Chiropractic Students are encouraged to meet with the Chief Health Professions Advisor, Dr. Joseph Keryakos, each semester, as well as join and attend regularly the Pre-Health Professions Club (PHPC) events. PHPC’s events are geared toward students in the Pre-Health Professions Program including pre-chiropractic students.
This club is focused on collaborative healthcare and interprofessional development across pre-health students by planning and supporting activities that showcase teamwork and collaboration in healthcare. For more information, please contact PHPC@dordt.edu.
