Giving Options

The Carl and Gloria Zylstra Nursing Education Center provides students with a hands-on classroom learning experience. Designed for applied learning the space includes a hospital simulation skills lab, high and low fidelity patient simulators, observations rooms, and faculty offices. The new facility ensures program quality, growth, and cost containment.

The 13,200 square foot theatre space includes a scene shop, faculty offices, a flexible space classroom, and a state-of-the-art black box theatre. Designed to easily convert to space that will support continuing growth in Dordt’s technology programs, the current facility allows for the future inclusion of the Theatre Arts Department in the B.J. Haan Auditorium expansion.

The Agriculture Stewardship Center provides expanded classrooms and improved lab and practicum spaces. A high-bay space, welding lab, CNC machines, and lathes, allow for hands on training for students in both four-year and two-year programs. A large conference space accommodates community groups, association gatherings, and special events. Future expansion plans include a monoslope cattle building, a flexible livestock building, a grain storage facility and equipment storage shed.

The new dining commons will connect dining with other campus buildings—creating a functional hub of student activity and community. The new dining commons will also accommodate changing dietary needs and improve banquet service for large university and community events.

Worship is at the heart of the Dordt community. The renovation of the B.J. Haan Auditorium will include a new sound system in the main auditorium, additional restroom space, and live streaming capabilities. Expansions will include the addition of a 150 seat recital hall, improved accessibility, expanded lobby space, and a green room.
