Senior recital Feb. 27

Dordt College senior Sarah Buteyn will present a flute recital on Friday, Feb. 27, 7:30 p.m. in the B. J. Haan Auditorium.

The daughter of Jerry and Carol Buteyn, Sanborn, Sarah’s instrumental performance will be accompanied by Mrs. Marlys Grimm and Liz McPherson, soprano.

The program for the recital includes “Fantasy in A Major” by Telemann, an unaccompanied Baroque piece in which the performer is encouraged to add ornamentation. A lovely lyrical piece, Lili Boulangei’s “Nocturne” is Buteyn’s favorite.

Buteyn’s instructor at Dordt College is Mrs. Stephanie Kocher.

The public is invited to attend both the recital and a reception following the performance.
