Football Signs Castellanos

(Friday, June 20; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Jose Castellanos, a graduate of Fairfax High School (California), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Castellanos is 5-11, 235 pounds and has played defensive end, linebacker and running back during his career.  He claimed first team all-conference honors as a senior and was selected as a Los Angeles City All-Star and a first-team all-city selection on defense.  He also claimed second team all-conference honors as a junior.

Jose is the son of Jose Castellanos and Juana Vasquez of Los Angeles, California.  He plans to study business administration and accounting at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
