Gritters To Attend Dordt College

(Monday, March 24; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Greg Gritters, a senior at Trinity Christian High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender basketball program.

Gritters, a 6-2 guard, was a four-year starter at Trinity Christian and scored 18.5 points per game and grabbed six rebounds per game for the Tigers and earned first-team all-War Eagle Conference honors.  He averaged 13.5 points and two steals per game as a junior.

“We are pleased Greg will be a part of our program next year.  He comes from a rapidly emerging program at Trinity Christian where he was an outstanding performer throughout his high school career,” said Dordt College basketball coach Ross Douma.  “Greg is a versatile player who can impact the game in many ways.  We look forward to watching him evolve into a quality college player.”

Greg is the son of Brian and Denise Gritters of Hull, Iiowa.  He plans to study education at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
