Defender Women Add Montana Native

(Tuesday, January 21; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Karina Bell,  a senior at Billings Senior High School (Montana), has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender basketball program.

Bell, a 5-4 guard, currently averages 3.2 points and 2.0 assists per game for Billings and has been a member of two teams that have placed fourth at the Montana State AA Tournament.  Bell is a two-year academic all-state selection and was a member of two state champion relay teams in track and field while competing in the 4 x 100.

Karina is the daughter of Randy and Carla Bell of Billings, Montana.  She plans to study elementary education at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
