Steve Green coming to Dordt College Sept. 17

September 1, 2011

Looking for some wholesome family entertainment? Legendary Christian recording artist Steve Green will perform in concert Saturday, Sept. 17, in the B.J. Haan Auditorium on the campus of Dordt College. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Throughout his years of ministry, Green has had 13 number one songs and his music has been honored with four Grammy nominations and seven Dove Awards, Christian music’s highest honor. With 29 recordings to his credit, including children’s projects and Spanish-language albums, Green has sold over three million albums worldwide.

Green celebrates 25 years in the Christian music industry where he has been able to share the Good News of Christ with the world. “Twenty-five years is a significant marker,” he says in an article on the Steve Green Ministries website. “I’ve been able to communicate the gospel in almost 50 countries around the world, and as God gives grace and strength, I look forward to many years to come. There are more songs to record, more people who need to hear God’s truth, and more segments of our culture to be redeemed for God’s glory.”

Green’s career is impressive, and he gives all the credit to his Savior. “In the end it will be clear that he alone is the hero in my story,” says Green.

Tickets are $12 in advance ($10 apiece for groups of 10 or more) and $15 at the door. They are available by calling (712) 722-6028 or emailing wfopma@dordt.edu.

The concert is part of Dordt College’s Alumni Weekend celebration. Other events throughout the weekend include the Business Connections Breakfast, Pops Concert, Kids’ Carnival, and the Dordt Business Club Golf Tourney.
