Ag Day

Ag Day at Dordt College is Friday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free public event is hosted by the Agriculture Club and Agriculture Department at Dordt College.

Free activities and displays will be offered at Dordt’s main parking lot, on the north side of the Campus Center. This year’s Ag Day includes a petting zoo, a variety of livestock and companion pets, department presentations, and games. There will also be a large display of farm equipment from area dealerships: some dealers may be available to answer questions about the Ag Day latest models of machinery.

Contests held throughout the day include mutton busting, candy scramble, and round bale rolling. Relays, quizzes, and games will be conducted throughout the dayand registered high school teams will judge livestock.

Ag students will serve hamburgers, porkburgers and hot dogs with baked beans from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., as a fund-raiser for Ag Club activities.

The Ag Club invites the public to attend this free event as they support the future of agriculture and celebrate Dordt College’s growing agricultural program.
