Service of Lessons and Carols

A Service of Lessons and Carols will be presented Sunday, Dec. 6, at 8 p.m. in Dordt College’s B.J. Haan Auditorium.

Featuring the Dordt College Chorale, the service blends readings and music to relate the story of Christmas. The chorale is directed by Dr. Benjamin Kornelis.

Faculty members assisting with the program include Bruce Kuiper and Teresa Ter Haar as readers and Matthew Geerlings on the organ. Student instrumentalists also performing include the brass quintet of Kevin Haan, Peter Kuipers, Jon Trueblood, John Rutgers, and Lee Radde; and a string quartet consisting of Janelle Bolkema, Mia Kornelis, Anna Slegers, and Nathan Friend.

In addition to the Chorale’s performed selections, the audience will be led in several familiar favorite carols.

Admission is free, with an offering received to benefit music scholarships at Dordt College.
