Biology Research presentations April 29 at Dordt College

The Dordt College biology department is hosting a Senior Research Presentation Night on Wednesday, April 29, in the Science and Technology Building Lecture Hall S108.
Seven seniors will present their work, beginning at 6 p.m. and concluding at 8:15 p.m. with an ice cream social.
Presenters and their projects are as follow:
6 p.m.: “Genetic Diversity Studies in Yucca Glauca” by Joelle Van Gaalen (Sioux Center, IA)
6:15 p.m.: “Palynology of a Marion County Coal” by Amy Walker (Vista, CA)
6:30 p.m.: “Antimicrobial Effects of the Moringa Oleifera” by Kayla Breems (Prinsburg, MN)
6:50 p.m.: “Can RAPD PCR be used to differentiate between similar subspecies of Branta Canadensis” by Erin Magnuson (Wayne, NE)
7:10 p.m.: “The Effect of Multiple Treatments of Lactoferrin and Lysozyme on a Salmonella Typhimurium Infection in Mice” by Andrea Senneker, (Vauxhall, AB)
7:30 p.m.: “Agrobacterium-mediated Genetic Transformation of Scenedesmus” by Steven Veurink, (Harrisburg, SD)
7:50 p.m.: “Expression of Cux1 in the Testes of Hibernating and Non-Hibernating Siberian Hamsters” by Cory Warden (Pella, IA).
