Landscape art at Campus Center
October 29, 2007

A small art exhibition of local and regional landscapes organized in conjunction with a Caring for Creation Conference is currently on display in the Campus Center De Yager Student Activities Center.
The show will be on view until November 7 and features the work of Norman Matheis, emeritus professor of art Dordt College.
Of special interest is a seven inch wide by 40 foot long "sumi" ink drawing of local scenes, completed by Matheis in 2001. Shown here is a Platte River acrylic on canvas illustration done by Matheis in 1993.
Other artists participating in the show are Jacob Van Wyk, Peter Sheesley, and David Versluis, who are all members of the Dordt College Art Faculty.
