Dordt College Jazz Band at Centre Mall

An informal jazz session by the Dordt College Jazz Band will be presented in the center court of Centre Mall on Friday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m.

Directed by Norm Gaines, the jazz band will present “Big Band Christmas,” along with other Big Band tunes like “Mambo Hot,” “How High the Moon,” “On the Street Where You Live,” and “Cute.”

Featured soloists will be Jamin Hubner on the drums, John Rutgers, Mike Olthoff and Jander Talen on trombones; Tim Vande Griend and Jon Hjelle on trumpets; Leah Applebee, Kenny Gradert and Leah Radde on saxophones; and vocalist Becky Lancaster from the Blue Notes quartet.

The public is invited to come enjoy this free holiday jazz performance at Centre Mall in Sioux Center.
