Mozart's 250th birthday recital
October 5, 2006
During the year 2006 musicians around the world have been celebrating an important composer birthday: Mozart, born in 1756, would be observing a 250th birthday this year.
To commemorate this event, Dordt College’s faculty will present a Mozart recital on Friday, Oct. 13, at 3 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium.
Wearing period dress from the mid-1700s, six Dordt professors and adjucts will present music from Mozart. They are Debora Vogel, soprano; Pam DeHaan, soprano; Robert Horton, organ and harpsichord; Mary Lou Wielenga, piano and organ; Karen De Mol, clarinet; and Stephanie Kocher, flute.
The public is cordially welcome to attend this free recital and refreshments following the performance.
