Dordt Discovery Days

Dordt Discovery Days academic camp brought 190 junior high students to the campus June 26-30.
This year's sixth, seventh and eighth grade participants represent 17 states, from both coasts and many states between. The week-long camp is offered annually, with most classes taught by Dordt College professors or alumni, and participants invited to stay in college housing.
Discovery Day participants explore interests ranging from music to computer programming, art to science, theater to sports. This year’s camp offered 25 courses, including Real Engineering; Ooey-Gooey Science; Rockets and Rollercoasters; CSI: Sioux Center; DC Recording Studio; Theater Classic; Gamemaker.com; stained glass art; war and soldiering; computer programming; and many other classes in music, theater, art and sports.
This year, Dordt Discovery Days participants came from Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Kansas, North Carolina, Montana, Colorado, California, Washington, Maine and Virginia.
