Dordt Choir selected to perform at convention

Dordt College’s Concert Choir has been invited to participate as a performing choir at the North Central Division convention of the American Choral Directors Association (NCACDA), being held March 1-4 in Omaha, Neb.

The NCACDA has over 2,800 members, including college and university professors, public and private school teachers, church, community and professional conductors from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

The Dordt College Choir is directed by Dr. Benjamin Kornelis, who has been director of choral activities at Dordt College since 1994. He is also a frequent guest clinician and conductor at regional high school and college events.

During the convention, the Dordt College Choir will perform the Holland Performing Arts Center. Choir members will also have the opportunity to attend workshops, reading sessions, and concerts by other invited choirs.
