De Boer Earns All-American Recognition

(Wednesday, December 7; Sioux Center, Iowa) Tara De Boer, a senior at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa has been named a second team All-American by the NAIA in volleyball.

De Boer, a four-year regular on the Lady Defender volleyball team, averaged 4.9 kills per game with 1.2 blocks per game and a .356 kill efficiency one year after earning first team honors.

With De Boer in the lineup the Lady Defenders won three Great Plains Athletic Conference regular season titles, three post-season conference tournament championships, two NAIA regional titles and three NAIA national tournament berths. The Lady Defenders are 144-20 over the past four seasons and posted a 62-2 GPAC mark in the past four years.

De Boer leaves Dordt College with 2311 career kills and holds the record for kills in a season with 706 this year and kills per game average in a season with 4.94.
