Ruter Picked for All-American Honorable Mention Status

Luke Ruter, a first team All-Great Plains Athletic Conference selection this year as a Dordt College sophomore, has been awarded NAIA Division II All-American Honorable Mention accolades.

Ruter, the leading scorer and rebounder on this year's Dordt College team with a 15.9 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game average, was one of seven Great Plains Athletic Conference men's basketball players awarded All-American status in some form.

Ruter had a solid all around year, averaging 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game as the Defenders went 14-14. Ruter was an all-GPAC honorable-mention pick as a freshman at Dordt College.
