Semester in Korea

The Semester in Korea gives students the unique opportunity to live and study alongside Korean other international students at Handong Global University. Living in the beautiful city of Pohang, South Korean, students have the opportunity to explore the rich cultural opportunities in the country. Handong offers courses in many majors, from engineering and psychology to art and business. The Semester in Korea is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

Exchange program application process

Nomination forms deadline is November 15 for spring semester, April 15 for fall semester (sent by Rebecca Tervo after the student has completed the Dordt Internal Approval process)

All exchange students must be nominated by their home university. The home coordinator must e-mail the following information to exchange@handong.edu.

  • Name (last name/first name)
  • Gender
  • Date of birth (yy/mm/dd)
  • Student's email address

Application Steps

Step 1: Complete the internal approval process. See Rebecca Tervo (CA 133) for materials and instructions.

Step 2: Complete the Handong Exchange Program Application materials.

Start by completing the online Handong Exchange Student Application.

The following compulsory documents must be sent with your application to the exchange program at Handong. Please turn in these materials to Rebecca Tervo in Dordt University Global Education.

All application materials are due April 15 for the fall semester and November 15 for the spring semester.
