Dr. Trista Logan

Assistant Professor of Education

Dr. Trista Logan serves as an assistant professor of education at Dordt University. Before joining Dordt, she taught kindergarten and third grade and served as a K–5 reading specialist. She earned her doctorate in Curriculum Design and Instruction from Liberty University, with a focus on literacy instruction and intervention. These experiences continue to shape her work with future teachers as they prepare to serve students with strong, research-informed instruction.

Dr. Logan’s professional interests include early literacy development, the science of reading, and supporting elementary schools as they strengthen literacy practices. She is especially passionate about helping teachers translate research into practical, effective classroom instruction. Outside of her work at Dordt, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Thaddues, and their son, Elliot.
