Steve Mouw serves as Major Gifts Officer at Dordt University, where he builds relationships with alumni, donors, and new friends of the university. His work centers on listening: learning about people's lives, their connection to Dordt, and how they hope to invest in the next generation of Christian higher education.
For Steve, the most meaningful part of his role is witnessing transformation firsthand.
"I enjoy seeing the results of donor support in the lives of Dordt students — how it develops Christian community, character, and academic training," he says. "And I appreciate seeing Christians serve the Lord in many ways and in numerous professions."
Steve's Christian faith shapes the way he approaches his work and his life.
"The Reformed, Christian world and life view that I'm fortunate to have brings meaning, clarity, and purpose," he says. "I understand that work is worship, and it is a privilege to work for and in the Lord's Kingdom."
Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is also an avid golfer, playing courses near home and across the country.
