Jennifer Colin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Taylor University and a Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University. Following graduate school, she served as the director of a maternity home for single mothers and as a therapist for a group of pregnancy care centers. Several years later, she transitioned into school social work, which led to roles as a school counselor and eventually a school administrator in two West Michigan charter school districts—earning two additional Master’s degrees along the way. In 2021, she followed God’s nudging to apply for a position at Kuyper College, where she currently serves as Associate Professor of Social Work and Social Work Program Director.
Jennifer loves teaching social work because of the ways it can make a difference in the lives of others and restore justice in God’s world. In addition, she enjoys reading, trivia games, documentaries, and photography.
