Amanda Duvall

Amanda Duvall is a wife, mom of two and former government flack. A Wisconsinite first, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in political science and international relations and then earned a Masters in Communication from Johns Hopkins University. She is an experienced communications professional who got her start working on Capitol Hill and fell in love with public service and political communications. In her professional career, she has worked in a variety of roles spanning state and federal governments and corporate and nonprofit public relations, and now does freelance writing and contract work in the margins of stay-at-home mom life. Aside from navigating the joys and challenges of raising young children, Amanda is most passionate about helping point people to Jesus through her writing and teaching the Bible at her church, Naperville Presbyterian Church. Her work has been published in Risen Motherhood, Truly Magazine, and enCourage among other places.

She now lives in the Chicago area with her family, where she loves tending her plants, reading books, walking in their beautiful neighborhood and serving at her church alongside her husband Will, who is the music director and elder.
