Lauren Brown's senior art exhibit, "Now is the Time to Remember," showcases paintings, prints, and drawings capturing the beauty of everyday moments and cherished memories.
"Now is the Time to Remember," a senior art exhibit by art major Lauren Brown, will be on display in the Campus Center Art Gallery at Dordt University April 8-23. A reception for the show will be held on Saturday, April 20 at 5 p.m.
This series features a collection of paintings, prints, and drawings representing personal moments, intimate interiors, and cherished objects that evoke beauty in the ordinary, says Brown.
"By depicting such things, I express an emotional connection to the physical world and the memories it holds," she adds. "This exhibit encourages reflection on life's moments that pass too quickly, and stillness to delight in the here and now."
