New "In All Things" Podcast Launched

The Andreas Center for Scholarship and Service at Dordt University has launched a new podcast called In All Things that partners with the In All Things online journal. The first episode aired March 1, and featured author Tish Harrison Warren in a discussion about prayer and waiting for God.

The podcast is hosted by Dr. Justin Bailey, assistant professor of theology, at Dordt University, and author of Reimagining Apologetics: The Beauty of Faith in a Secular Age. The episodes seek to host conversations about living creatively in God’s created world. The podcast will engage in conversation with diverse voices across a wide range of traditions, places, and times.

“My hope is that it engages both the intellect and the imagination, sparking creativity in our everyday work in God’s world,” says Bailey.

The podcast will produce approximately two episodes per month, typically featuring interviews with authors of new books, and writers who have shared insights on the In All Things online journal.

“A big part of what sparked this was seeing a podcast as a way to continue the conversations taking place through our essays, reviews, and devotionals on inallthings.org,” says Dr. Channon Visscher, director of the Andreas Center. “It allows us to delve a bit deeper than our written items into various topics.”

Bailey spearheads lining up guests for the podcast, seeking to identify and articulate key insights that will be valuable to listeners. The second episode includes Makota Fujimura, author of Art + Faith, and an upcoming episode will feature A.J. Swoboda, author of After Doubt.

The podcasts are available via Podbean, Apple Podcasts, Audible, Spotify, and Google.

Listeners can currently enter to win a copy of Makoto Fujimura’s new book by subscribing, leaving a review, sharing an episode, or following In All Things on Twitter (@in_all_things) through the podcast’s giveaway page. The giveaway will run for two weeks following Fujimura’s episode.
