The community is invited to attend the Dordt University Music Department’s honors recital on Friday, September 26. The recital will take place in the B.J. Haan Auditorium, beginning at 3:10 p.m.
The recital will feature solo vocal and instrumental performances by scholarship recipients from the incoming freshman class, as well as several upperclassmen. These named music scholarships, supported by Dordt University donors, are awarded to students who have made significant musical contributions in their schools, communities, or Dordt’s music department.

- Jaylie De Jager (freshman, oboe) - LEAH Music Scholarship

“The Honors Recital is a way to celebrate exceptional students who have received named scholarships to support their study of music at Dordt,” says Dr. Carrie Groenewold, professor of music and Joan Ringerwole Chair of Church Music and Organ at Dordt. “The program is full of musical variety, both in a specific performance area and in repertoire, and our students are eager to share a varied program representing their God-given talents.”
