Dordt Music Department to Host Honors Recital

Dordt music scholarship recipients perform in recital on September 30

The Dordt University Music Department will host an honors recital on Friday, September 30, at 3 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. The recital will be followed by a public reception in the auditorium lobby.

Performers in the honors recital have all received named music scholarships made possible by Dordt University donors. These scholarships were awarded to first-year students who contributed significantly to their high school or community music program and to upperclassmen who have contributed significantly to the Dordt University music program.

Performers include:

  • Ella Jahn (freshman, trumpet) – Joe J. Dahm Memorial Music Scholarship
  • Aaron Galloway (junior, cello) – Norm and Val Duininck Music Scholarship
  • Julia Holleman (senior, flute) – Steensma Music Scholarship
  • Nicole Rayhons (freshman, french horn) – Vanden Brink Freshman Scholarship
  • Emma Phillips (freshman, piano) – Den Besten Music Scholarship
  • Loree Reck (freshman, piano) – Ringerwole Piano Scholarship
  • Isabel Munson (junior, organ) – John and Reona Reinsma Organ Scholarship
  • Karli Vanden Brink (junior, organ) – Ringerwole Organ Scholarship, Klanderman Family Organ Scholarship, Assink Church Music Leadership Scholarship
  • Anna Rediger (senior, organ) – Roossien Organ Scholarship
  • Lael Bervig (senior, piano) – Klanderman Family Piano Scholarship, John and Frances Bonnema Memorial Music Scholarship
  • Brianna Holt (freshman, voice) – John and Frances Bonnema Memorial Music Scholarship
  • AJ Goetsch (freshman, voice) – Kapellmeister Scholarship
  • Bennett Krommendyk (freshman, voice) – LEAH Music Scholarship
  • Clair Wiart (freshman, voice) – Den Besten Music Scholarship
