Sioux City Journal: Dordt sweeps men’s and women’s 800-meter runs at Sioux City Relays

“For the second straight year, Dordt’s Payton Maudlin crossed the finish line first in the men’s 800-meter at the Sioux City Relays.”

KCAU: Dordt University Agriculture Club hosting Ag Day

Dordt University students are bringing back Ag Day with animals, equipment, and “legendary” food. According to a release from Dordt University, Ag Day will be held on April 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is open to the public.

“Ag Day highlights agriculture’s importance to the community and society overall,” said Agriculture Department Instructor Gary De Vries, “It also gives our agriculture majors an opportunity to practice being advocates for the agriculture industry to preschool through university students and area adults.”

Sioux County Radio: Dahl named Assistant Coach of the Year

“The 2023 American Volleyball Coaches Association has announced its 2023 NAIA national honors and former assistant coach Dillon Dahl has been named the AVCA NAIA National Assistant Coach of the Year for the recently completed men's 2023 season. Dahl completed his two-year stint at Dordt while assisting both the women's and men's programs and has since taken a full-time assistant job at Black Hills State University (South Dakota). Dahl's primary responsibilities were opponent scouting, recruiting, skills development and stats analysis.”

“Other Iowa-based schools on hand included Luther, Cornell, Simpson, Central, Dordt, Buena Vista, Waldorf and Wartburg colleges, along with Drake, Graceland and Mount Mercy universities. All three of Iowa’s public universities had tables.”

Sioux Falls Lincoln took on Sioux Falls Jefferson at Augustana University’s Bowden Field, a turf facility in Sioux Falls, and Dell Rapids played Beresford at Dordt University’s indoor facility in Sioux Center, Iowa.”

Johann Sebastian Bach has his 338th birthday today! Here is my tribute to the great composer from Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa.” The post has slowly gone viral over the past few weeks; as of April 17, the post has 3,500 reactions, 96 comments, and 59,000 views.
