Dordt and CACE Acquire Charter Oak Research

Dordt and CACE acquire Charter Oak research

The Center for the Advancement of Christian Education (CACE) at Dordt University has acquired consulting firm Charter Oak Research.

“CACE’s mission is to network schools, promote innovative practices, and develop school leaders,” says Dr. Tim Van Soelen, executive director of CACE. “Charter Oak’s custom research offerings allow CACE to take the next step in pursuit of our mission.”

Charter Oak Research provides demographic awareness and positioning research that schools can use for marketing research and enrollment management.

Van Soelen adds that the normative research that Charter Oak collects will allow schools to benchmark key performance indicators and make data-informed decisions. Charter Oak’s current clients will help connect schools and school leaders with those who are having success in different areas of school operations. Additionally, Charter Oak’s national research capacity will allow CACE to answer big questions that are currently challenging faith-based schools.

“The services that Charter Oak Research provides have already contributed significantly to CACE’s growth,” says Van Soelen. “Enfolding their services under CACE’s umbrella will provide these critical services and more to the schools we are privileged to serve.”

Charter Oak Research is led by Paul Neal and David Urban, both of whom have served as senior fellows for the Center for the Advancement of Christian Education. Both will continue in their roles, with Neal additionally taking on a full-time role as director of operations for CACE.

The Center for the Advancement of Christian Education offers services in strategic planning and school operations consulting, and school leadership searches. CACE also provides the biblical framework, Teaching for Transformation, in 70 Christian schools across the country.
